This is an Italian Winter Lunch Workshop (un pranzo invernale italiano) ! Join me as we create a 3-course authentic Italian lunch menu using winter produce. I’m thinking Jerusalem Artichokes, Calvero Nero, Potatoes, Lemons, and so much more winter fare! There will be home-style cooking and baking involved; with lots of chatting, laughing and learning along the way. We will then sit outside (alfresco style) together to enjoy the fruits of our labour sampling authentic Italian fare with a glass (or two) of vino.

Join me for a great day making authentic Gnocchi.

You will learn how to make two authentic gnocchi doughs; the traditional and ever popular potato gnocchi, along with ricotta gnocchi. In addition, we will prepare sughi (sauces) to compliment our gnocchi dishes. We will end the day by sitting alfresco style to enjoy the fruits of our labour (our gnocchi) with a class of vino.

Spring Italian Cooking at Glenmore House, Camden – Sunday, 15 September 2019

Mickey Robertson (a citron tart aficionado) of Glenmore House, Camden is a little fond of my lemon curd tart! So much so that it was the catalyst for this event!

There will be some handmade pasta too – perhaps ‘pici’ with Mickey’s glorious spring kitchen garden veg, and much more (I can’t give it all away!!!).

The day will begin at 10am in the Dairy with morning tea…and, you guessed it…Lemon Curd Tart! During the morning we will pick and cook…and when the labour of love is done……we will eat!  Depending on the weather, we will enjoy a long-table lunch either in the loggia or if it’s too chilly, inside by the fire. There will be time to potter in the Barn and linger longer in the garden, we expect the day to end by 4pm.
