Join me for a weekday making authentic Gnocchi.

You will learn how to make two authentic gnocchi doughs; the traditional and ever popular potato gnocchi, along with ricotta gnocchi. In addition, we will prepare sughi (sauces) to compliment our gnocchi dishes. We will end the day by sitting alfresco style to enjoy the fruits of our labour (our gnocchi) with a class of vino.

Serving homemade ravioli is impressive in itself, serving it with an artichoke filling will make you famous among your family and friends.  Ravioli might seem daunting and preparing artichokes too hard, but it’s really just a matter of knowing where to start. Angela Palermo will take you from the very basics of pasta making to rolling out shaping, filling and cooking ravioli.  Learn to prepare artichokes to get to the prized heart to make an exceptionally delicious spring filling. Angela will also discuss seasonal variations and sauces.

This is an Italian Summer Lunch Workshop! Join me as we create a 3-course authentic Italian lunch menu using summer produce; I’m thinking apricots, melons, berries, zucchini, tomatoes, peas, beans – the list is quite long with the bounty that summer offers. There will be home-style cooking and baking involved; with lots of chatting, laughing and learning along the way. We will then sit outside (alfresco style) together to enjoy the fruits of our labour sampling authentic Italian fare with a glass (or two) of vino.

It’s getting very close to Christmas and for an Italian that means baking more sweets to have on hand for those celebratory pre-christmas visits from family & friends.

In this class, you will bake and take home a traditional Christmas Cake from Siena called Panforte. You will also learn to bake a traditional Christmas treat from Calabria (where my parents came from in Italy), Pitta ‘Mpigliata – a rosette pastry made with walnuts, raisins, and spices of Christmas.
