Mickey Robertson (a citron tart aficionado) of Glenmore House, Camden is a little fond of my lemon curd tart! So much so that it was the catalyst for this event!

There will be some handmade pasta and using Mickey’s glorious spring kitchen garden vegetables, and much more (I can’t give it all away!!!).

The day will begin at 10am in the Dairy with morning tea! During the morning we will pick and cook…and when the labour of love is done……we will eat!  Depending on the weather, we will enjoy a long-table lunch either in the loggia or if it’s too chilly, inside by the fire. There will be time to potter in the Barn and linger longer in the garden, we expect the day to end by 4pm.

Angela is very very excited to be commencing, at The Village Cooks, a series cooking and baking classes to celebrate Angela’s favourite (and most influential) Italian cookbook authors! Angela’s cooking and baking has be shaped by many things; her Southern Italian heritage, her professional training as a pastry chef & experience working in commerical kitchens, but by far, her Italian cookbook (which there are many), have given Angela a greater understanding of la cucina povera!

“I am extremely excited to be sharing the cooking and baking from some of my favourite Italian cookbook authors. In each class, we will celebrate one Italian cookbook author that has influenced me! I will choose an entreè, main and dessert from the Italian author’s cookbook/s and recreate these dishes in the class. My first celebrated Italian cookbook author is Anna Del Conte! I love Anna’s authentic Italian provincial cooking & baking style and it has greatly shaped the way I cook!”

This is a (mostly) demonstration & (some) hands-on class.

Join me for a 3 course Anna del Conte lunch. We will cook and bake 3 meals recreated from cookbooks written by Anna del Conte. We will celebrate Italian Cookbook authors through their food at The Village Cooks.
